This July, we are hosting a number of virtual conferences for selected researchers in our target countries to foster mutual learning and cross-country exchange on assessment methodologies. Participants will present and discuss their approaches and methodologies for assessing employment impacts, energy access and air pollution resulting from power sector activities. The objective is for researchers to get to know the approaches of other teams working on the same topic and to discuss existing difficulties and barriers.
During the Petersberg Climate Dialogue IX that took place in Berlin on 18–19 June, 2018, ministers from all regions of the world came together under the heading „Changing together for a just transition“ and acknowledged the opportunities of early climate action. The COBENEFITS project had contributed to the dialogue with a briefing paper for the ministers, created together with the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).
