Mpumalanga’s Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane on women in the energy transition

Women should be at the fore­front of the ener­gy tran­si­tion in Mpumalan­ga: that’s what the Pre­mier of the South African province, Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsi­pane, said on the side lines of the Mpumalan­ga Ener­gy Sum­mit 2022 (24−25 May). Mtshweni-Tsi­pane said that women had been dis­ad­van­taged for too long, and that they should be giv­en more oppor­tu­ni­ties since they are capa­ble, com­mit­ted, and ded­i­cat­ed to their tasks.
